The City of Pittsburgh is implementing the Mon-Oakland Mobility Project in direct coordination with the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority’s (PWSA) Four Mile Run (4MR) Stormwater Improvement Project in order to be more efficient with funding, reduce disruption to local residents, and to ensure that both projects are sustainable into the future. The Mobility Project will be designed to work within the Stormwater Project design requirements.
The 4MR Stormwater Improvement Project will capture and route the flow of stormwater in the Four Mile Run watershed through a naturalized surface channel that will generally follow the path of the historic streams that formed Four Mile Run from Panther Hollow Lake to the Monongahela River.
